4 Ways to Become a Leader People Want to Follow

By Mike Riley

Effective leadership is an integral part of a successful Christian life (Joshua 1:1-11; Joshua 24:14-31). Today, I’m posting a link to Michael Hyatt’s web site where he presents 4 Ways To Become A Leader People Want To Follow. (editor’s note: could not find the link) I’ve added some appropriate Scriptures.

The following are four C’s of effective leadership from Mr. Hyatt’s web site:

1) Care — Genuinely care about others (Romans 12:10; Romans 15:1-2; 1 Corinthians 10:32-33; Gal 6:1).

2) Celebrate — Show people appreciation for their achievements (Romans 16:1-15; 1 Thessalonians 1).

3) Correct — People appreciate positive direction that helps them grow and improve (Acts 18:24-28).

4) Compensate — Fair compensation is one way we show folks the value of their hard work and dedication (Proverbs 31:31 NIRV; 1 Corinthians 9:1-14; 1 Timothy 5:17-18).

Spiritual  leaders in the Lord’s church would do well to memorize the above four C’s and make practical application of them, helping the church to experience continued growth and development.

Bad emotions come from doing wrong. Emotions also move us one way or the other to take action.

Happiness, sadness, love, hate, anxiety, contentment:
